He posted his message on X.
"Russians struck a maternity ward and ordinary residential buildings, killing and injuring civilians. Russia rejects any meaningful peace efforts and must face new, devastating sanctions. Already now. There is no more time to wait," the minister wrote.
According to Sybiha, the most painful targets for Russia include the energy sector, especially lowering the oil price cap, the banking system, and secondary sanctions.
"These sanctions are not just intended to support Ukraine. They are essential to our partners. Such economic restrictions defund Russia's war machine, which is directed not only at us, but also at them," he added.
- On the evening of June 9, Russian forces launched Shahed-type attack drones into Ukrainian territory. There are reports of deaths, injuries, and major damage in Odesa and Kyiv.
