Ukraine’s Defense Minister is convinced that Ukraine will soon receive fighter jets: There will be main 'bird' and 2-3 of other types
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that partner countries will provide Ukraine with several types of fighter jets: one of them will be the main aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
This is stated in an interview with the Minister of Defense of Germany Bild.
"I am sure that we will have two or three types of fighters. There will be one main aircraft, and it will depend on which one is better for Ukraine. For our airfields, for our engineers, for maintenance," he said.
In particular, Oleksiy Reznikov commented on the current refusal of the German authorities to provide aircraft: "I remember that Germany did not want to supply tanks. Now my country has Leopards, I personally tested a Leopard from Germany."
The Defense Minister also emphasized that the Ukrainian government will not negotiate with Vladimir Putin: "Ukraine is ready to negotiate reparations, an international tribunal and responsibility for the Kremlin's war crimes, the so-called Nuremberg-2."
Oleksiy Reznikov believes that the war could end this year: "I am an optimist, I see the situation on the battlefield, I see the development of support and I really see that there are chances for this war to end with our victory this year. I am seriously considering this, I know a lot, and this makes me optimistic. An optimist is an informed realist."
