Britain will give Ukraine modern fighter jets only after war – Wallace
British Defenсe Secretary Ben Wallace said that Ukraine should count on the supply of modern fighter jets after the end of the war with Russia
In an interview with Spiegel, UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has said that Ukraine will be able to get Typhoon fighter jets only after the war is over.
"There will be no quick delivery of fighter jets, certainly not at this stage of the war, and I'm sure it won't be even in six months. It will take a long time before someone provides Ukraine with fighter jets. Moreover, modern aircraft, such as the Eurofighter, which we in the UK call Typhoon, will be delivered to Ukraine only after the war. This is the consensus among our Western partners," Wallace said.
At the same time, he assured that if a political decision is made, there will be no delays in the delivery of the aircraft.
"If at some point we decide to actually send fighter jets, we will be ready. Unlike battle tanks, there will be no delays with fighter jets once the political decision is made," Wallace said.
