UK will not send fighter jets to Ukraine - British Defence Secretary
Britain will not provide Ukraine with fighter jets. The Ukrainian Armed Forces receive thousands of Earth-air missiles, drones and long-range missiles that have "the same effect"
This was stated by British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, BBC reports.
"I don't think it's going to be in the next few months or even years that we are going to necessarily hand over fighter jets," Wallace says.
According to him, if the British government donated the fighter jets, it would also have to additionally add about 200 Royal Air Force personnel.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO member states would not send their military to Ukraine and would not enter into a direct confrontation with Russia.
Wallace emphasized that the international community has provided Ukraine with thousands of Earth-air missiles, drones and long-range missiles. According to him, these weapons have "the same effect."
