This was reported by Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to carry out both offensive and defensive actions and have partial success. Our troops are working in conditions of enemy air and artillery superiority. In the south, our troops are conducting active offensive operations in several directions simultaneously," Maliar writes.

The MoD reported tactical success in almost all areas and sectors in the south where Ukrainian troops are advancing.

"They are gradually advancing. As of now, up to two kilometers in each direction. In some liberated positions and settlements, we continue to consolidate our troops. At the Berdiansk and Mariupol directions, the enemy redeploys troops from other directions and increases its firepower. In addition, our troops are facing continuous mining of the fields," the statement said.

In the areas where the Ukrainian army defends, no positions have been lost and the enemy has not been able to advance. In the east, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting both defensive and counteroffensive actions.

The Russians are trying to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions and are conducting assault operations in several directions, including the Liman sector.

"In the Bakhmut sector, the overall hostilities intensity has somewhat decreased. Our troops are conducting offensive actions in certain areas, occupying dominant heights and forest belts to gradually drive the enemy from the approaches to Bakhmut. The enemy is doing its best to stop the offensive of our defense forces. In the east, the enemy now has a significant number of forces, which it continues to reinforce, moving additional units from other directions to the Bakhmut direction," the Defense Ministry said.
