Ukraine’s army eliminates about 100 Russian militaries in Kreminna area — ISW

The Ukrainian military hit a division of the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation, which was stationed in the Kreminna district of Luhansk region.

Russian sources note that the Ukrainian forces attacked at the moment when the division was in one place and was waiting for the arrival of the commander of the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation, Major General Sukhrab Akhmedov. One military official suggested that about 100 Russian servicemen were killed and another 100 were injured as a result of the Ukrainian HIMARS strike.

This incident caused a wave of outrage in Russia. Russian bloggers complain that Akhmedov and commanders like him continue to hold their positions after such incidents.

• On June 14, Russia lost 680 soldiers, 11 armored vehicles, and 15 UAVs in Ukraine. In total, Russia has lost about 217,330 military personnel, 3,943 tanks, and 7,653 armored vehicles.

• The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine emphasizes that Ukrainian forces suffer less losses during the offensive compared to the Russian troops, despite Russia’s disinformation.
