Ukraine will not owe repayment for prior U.S. military assistance — Ukrainian PM
Ukraine and the U.S. have agreed that previously provided assistance from Washington will not be included in the minerals agreement
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal shared the information.
"I had an important meeting with U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, where one of the key topics was the agreement between our countries. Legal teams are working on the document. We are making good progress," he reported.
Shmyhal added that the parties have reached an important agreement — Ukraine will not have to repay the military assistance provided by the U.S.
"It has been agreed that the assistance provided before the signing of the document will not be counted," the Prime Minister said.
