Ukraine reviews U.S. mineral deal after receiving draft – economy minister

MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported the information.

According to the minister, Ukraine is formulating its position on the US minerals agreement. She added that if necessary, there will be consultations with the Verkhovna Rada.

"Any public discussions about this agreement only cause harm and hinder constructive discussions with our American partners. As soon as a consensus is reached, we will come out with a public statement," Svyrydenko said. 

According to Honcharenko, the agreement is being drafted by the United States, and Ukraine was not involved in its development. 

• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Thursday, March 27, that the U.S. has proposed signing a full agreement on minerals instead of a framework agreement.
