Ukraine has already recaptured more territory than Russia seized in winter - Ben Wallace on Ukraine's army counteroffensive

UK Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace, informed about this during his speech in Parliament.

"As part of their summer campaign to reclaim illegally occupied territory, Ukraine has already recaptured approximately 300 square-km. That’s more territory than Russia seized in its whole winter offensive", - he mentioned in his speech.

On June 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the liberation of the settlements of Blahodatne, Neskuchne, and Makarivka near the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In the morning of June 12, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported that the state flag was once again flying over Storozhove in the Donetsk region.

On June 24, the Ukrainian Defense Forces officially confirmed the liberation of territories near Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region, which had been under the control of occupiers since 2014.

On June 26, Hanna Maliar announced that within a week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced 1 to 2 kilometers on the eastern front. During the offensive in the south, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated 130 square kilometers. On the same day, the Defense Forces regained control of the village of Rivnopil in Donetsk region.
