Over the past week at the front, the enemy suffered almost 8 times more personnel losses than the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In key areas, the Ukrainian military is advancing by 1-2 km

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.

“The Russian forces that are occupying the area are putting up strong resistance, but they are also experiencing significant losses in their personnel, weapons, and equipment. The enemy's casualties in the past week are eight times higher than ours,” she said.

Maliar mentioned that our aviation, missile forces, and artillery have carried out more than 110 attacks on areas where enemy troops are concentrated. We have successfully destroyed 17 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7 enemy ammunition storage areas, and 11 command centers. These actions have significantly reduced the enemy's ability to attack our aircraft and UAVs.

Additionally, Maliar reported that a large number of Russian equipment has been destroyed. This includes 2 enemy Ka-52 helicopters, 1 Mi-24 helicopter, 48 out of 51 Iranian attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type, as well as tanks, helicopters, and artillery systems.

In the eastern directions, Ukrainian forces advanced 1 to 2 km

In the eastern direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out defensive and offensive operations last week and achieved tactical success.

It is reported that the enemy launched attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka areas, leading to ongoing intense fighting. Approximately 250 combat clashes occurred in these areas over the past week. The enemy attempted to remove our troops from their positions, but they were unsuccessful.

According to the deputy minister of defense, the Russians fired over 6,000 shells and discharged 315,000 rounds of ammunition in the east last week. There has been an increase in the number of shelling compared to the previous week.

Simultaneously, our troops in the east initiated counter-offensive actions towards Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, Yahidne, Klishchiivka, and Kurdyumivka districts. They have advanced approximately 1 to 2 kilometers in each direction. Currently, the troops have established strong positions at the achieved boundaries and continue to eliminate the enemy.

During the offensive in the south, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 130 square kilometers

“There haven't been many changes in the southern region in the past week. The Ukrainian defense forces have continued their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk areas,” according to Maliar.

During this week, the liberated territories have expanded by an additional 17 square kilometers due to improved tactical positions and alignment of the front line. Overall, since the beginning of the offensive, the total area liberated in the south is now 130 square kilometers.

In the Tavria direction, the enemy attacked our positions 148 times in the past week, with a recorded total of 3,861 attacks. Ukrainian missile forces and artillery units conducted 8,783 firing missions in this direction during the week.

Maliar emphasizes that when you combine the number of enemy attacks in the east and south, it amounts to more than 10,000 shellings per week. This constant barrage occurs around the clock, every minute.

  • On June 26, the General Staff reported that despite losses, the Russians are focusing their offensive efforts in the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Marinka directions. They are also attempting to regain the lost position in the Novodarivka region of the Zaporizhzhia region. Throughout the day, there were 36 clashes at the front.
