Ukraine advances near Robotyne toward second Russian defense line – ISW

The progress brings Ukrainian troops closer to the second line of defense of the Russian troops, which ISW experts suggest might be relatively weaker than the initial line

This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War.

As per ISW's assessment, there are signs indicating that the Russian military might have a limited presence in Robotyne.

ISW suggests that the absence of visible Russian units and the placement of units on the secondary defense lines in the western part of Zaporizhzhia region could imply that elements from units already engaged in combat might be taking up these positions.

Reports mention a probable shortage of Russian reserves and limited movements to the western Zaporizhzhia region, along with inactive isolated units on the second defense line. These factors collectively suggest that the Russian second defense line might be notably less fortified.
