Russian forces still present on southern outskirts of Robotyne – Ukrainian serviceman
Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Viktor Burlyk says that the Ukrainian army has entered the town of Robotyne, but that Russian units are still on the outskirts
He said this on Espreso TV.
"As for Robotyne, our troops are already in the town. However, it is too early to talk about the complete mop up. After all, there are Russian units on the southern outskirts of Robotyne. Therefore, we should wait for official information on the liberation of this settlement from the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff," explained Burlyk.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman added that the Russians are retreating from the town, but may launch counterattacks.
"The liberation of Robotyne is only a matter of time. Perhaps in a few days we will hear the announcement on the liberation of the town. Now the enemy is not trying to counterattack our troops. However, they may make attempts. I would also like to emphasize that after the town is liberated, stabilization measures need to be taken, and this will take time. So we are waiting for official announcements," he added.
