Ukraine nationalizes six companies controlled by Russian citizen
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has upheld the Ministry of Justice's claim to transfer the assets of sanctioned Russian businessmen, including Myron Horilovskyi, to Ukraine's revenue
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
These assets include Ukrainian companies that are part of the Polyplastic Group industrial conglomerate, in which Myron Horilovskyi owned shares through controlled entities. Law enforcement officials state that the Polyplastic Group is controlled by Russian oligarchs and is one of the largest producers of polymer pipes and composite polymer materials in Europe.
According to the investigation, Horilovskyi's Russian companies supply their products to military bases, factories, and occupation authorities of the Russian Federation, particularly in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Additionally, the Russian enterprises are involved in producing components for small arms used by the Russian armed forces, the SBU added.
"In this way, this Russian oligarch and his accomplices finance Russia's war against Ukraine. According to the materials of the proceedings, Horilovskyi owned Ukrainian branches through third parties and offshore companies," law enforcement officials stated.
Currently, the court has decided to seize the corporate rights of these companies for the ownership of Ukraine to ensure their uninterrupted operation in favor of the state.
