Russia's new technologies are handicraft modernization of Soviet legacy – military and political observer Kovalenko
Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political observer at the Information Resistance group, believes that the Chinese are already drawing conclusions about Russian weapons that have 'no analogues'
He said this on Espreso TV.
“There is a version that by attacking Ukraine with the launch of the Kinzhals, Russia was trying to demonstrate to China that it has the capabilities to destroy the Patriot missile system. This system is considered the best in the world. At one time, China was an importer of Russian SAMs of various types. China has always lagged behind in technology. It needed missile technology,” Kovalenko explained.
According to the military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, China has been buying Russian weapons to make copies.
“The Chinese have been improving Russian copies and producing their own weapons. This applies to the S-300 and Su-35 fighters. China bought Russian fighters to study the engines. The Chinese used Russian technology for their J-20 fighters and modernized them. Now these planes are better than Russian ones. The Chinese are already drawing conclusions about Russian weapons that 'there are no analogues.' China sees that Russian technology is a handicraft modernization of the old Soviet legacy,” Kovalenko emphasized.
