Kyiv’s strong air defense stops 6 Russian Kinzhal missiles – Air Force spokesman
Kyiv is always a priority target for the Russian forces, so the capital has a strong air defense system, which made it possible to eliminate all 6 Kinzhal missiles
Yuriy Ihnat, the AFU Air Force spokesman, said this during the telethon.
“Today's operation was extremely successful, and all air targets were destroyed. Destroying 6 Kinzhal missiles is a remarkable achievement. Once again, Kyiv finds itself at the center of events, as it has always been a priority target for the enemy. The sheer number of missiles launched over the capital demonstrates why Kyiv has strong anti-aircraft defense to protect critical infrastructure and other vital state facilities. What’s most important is that every threat directed towards the Kyiv region was successfully neutralized,” Ihnat said.
Furthermore, Ihnat highlighted that the Kh-47 aeroballistic missiles were launched from 6 MiG31K aircraft, which serve as carriers for the Kinzhal missiles.
