This is reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, and Russian media.

After 4 a.m., the Shot Telegram channel posted information about an alleged UAV attack on Moscow.

"An explosion has been reported on Likhacheva Street. In the building where Leroy Merlin is located, the windows on the upper floors were smashed. Preliminarily, a drone flew into the building," the statement said.

At the same time, the Mash Telegram channel reported that glass was allegedly smashed in a building on Komsomolsky Avenue, which is located near the Russian Defense Ministry, and that fragments of a drone were found near the building.

This information was later confirmed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"Several windows were smashed on Komsomolsky Prospekt as a result of the drone explosion. We will help the residents eliminate all the consequences as soon as possible," he wrote.

Later, TASS cited emergency services as saying that fragments of the drone were found on Komsomolsky Prospekt, and another drone hit a high-rise business center on Likhacheva Street.

Traffic on Komsomolsky Prospekt from the center of Moscow towards the region was blocked, the Department of Transport reported. Traffic on Likhachev Avenue was also stopped.

Reaction of the Russian authorities to the explosions in Moscow

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that two UAVs were allegedly seen striking the city.

"Today, around 4 a.m., drone strikes were recorded on two non-residential buildings. There was no serious damage or casualties. All operational services are working on the spot," he said.

However, later the Russian Defense Ministry said that they had allegedly managed to stop an attempted attack by Ukrainian drones.

"In the morning of July 24, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack with two unmanned aerial vehicles on objects in the city of Moscow was stopped. Two Ukrainian UAVs were suppressed by means of electronic warfare and crashed. There were no casualties as a result of the thwarted terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime," the statement said.

On June 19, the authorities of the Belgorod region accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of shelling the Valuisky district, which allegedly injured 7 people, including a child.

Later, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that on June 21, 3 Ukrainian drones were shot down in the village of Kalynets, Moscow Region, on their way to the military unit's warehouses.

On July 2, an explosion occurred near a military airfield in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation, creating a 10-meter-diameter crater.

And on July 4, Russia accused Ukraine of a drone attack in the Moscow region. The media reported an attack on a military facility and a village near Vnukovo airport.
