Russian subversive group tried to enter Sumy region again: Ukraine’s border guards repelled attack
On Thursday, July 27, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled another attempt by an enemy subversive group in the Sumy region
Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, said this during a telethon.
"Yesterday, our Defense Forces repelled another attempt of a subversive reconnaissance group to enter the Sumy region. Our Ukrainian defenders... immediately open fire on such groups as soon as they are detected. And then they leave the border empty-handed," said Demchenko.
The main task of the Russian subversive groups is to identify the location of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and mine the area, the border guard explained.
According to the State Border Guard Service, the enemy continues to use subversive groups in the Kharkiv direction as well.
At the same time, in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, Russia continues to shell civilian settlements: "The number of attacks has not decreased recently, and it is quite a large number every day."
