Ukrainian troops detect Russian subversive reconnaissance groups on border of Chernihiv and Sumy regions
Ukraine is strengthening its defense capabilities by installing non-explosive engineering barriers and additional surveillance cameras
This was reported by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev.
"The Russian Federation keeps trying to find weaknesses in our defense directly on the Chernihiv and Sumy directions. Intrusions of sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been recorded in the border areas, but all attempts have failed," the military emphasized.
It is reported that the Ukrainian military is strengthening defense capabilities in close cooperation with the heads of military administrations, increasing the number of non-explosive engineering barriers, and installing additional border surveillance cameras.
"If the enemy tries to cross any part of the state border, they will not succeed," Nayev said.
If the threat level increases, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will further reinforce troops to prevent the enemy from advancing.
The Center for National Resistance also informs about the deployment of new saboteurs on the border with Ukraine.
It notes that Russia has deployed a new group of saboteurs to the Bryansk region to carry out subversive activities in Ukraine and counter local partisans.
In particular, Russia has deployed a detachment of the 24th Separate Special Forces Guards Brigade, which was previously based in Chita. It is to replace a similar unit of the 22nd Brigade of the Russian Federation.
According to the National Center for National Defense, the enemy militants' task is to conduct sabotage operations on the territory of Ukraine and counteract local Bryansk partisans. The detachment is stationed in the town of Starodub. It is about 30 kilometers from the Ukrainian border in a straight line.
