Russian forces use kindergarten in Zaporizhzhia region to treat troops – General Staff
Invading Russian forces continue to use civilian infrastructure for military purposes. In Zaporizhzhia region, they have equipped the territory of a kindergarten as a field hospital
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on June 23.
The occupying Russian troops continue to use the infrastructure of the temporarily occupied settlements to provide medical care to the Russian military.
“In the village of Chkalove, Zaporizhzhia region, on the territory of a kindergarten, the invaders set up a field hospital. The arrival of two trucks with medical equipment was recorded,” the report says.
AFU hit 12 Russian artillery units, 4 military positions, air defense
Ukrainian troops launched 10 attacks on Russian manpower concentration areas over the last day.
In addition, missile and artillery units struck 4 Russian military positions, 12 artillery units at firing positions, 2 electronic warfare facilities, as well as 1 air defense facility over the day.
Russia launched 51 airstrikes and over 50 MLRS attacks
During the day, the occupying Russian forces launched a missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using 14 cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-555, 3 drones Shahed-136/131, as well as 4 anti-aircraft guided missiles from S-300 in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 14 missiles and 2 drones. An anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Force also destroyed a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter. In addition, the enemy lost 7 reconnaissance UAVs.
Russian troops attack in 4 directions: frontline situation
Invading Russian forces are attacking in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. Over 27 combat engagements took place during the day.
Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected.
At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: one settlement in the Chernihiv region, 9 more in the Sumy region, as well as 19 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked.
Russian attacks in different regions of Ukraine
In the Kupiansk direction, 8 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling.
In the Lyman direction, 9 settlements of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, 11 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces.
In the Avdiivka direction, 12 settlements of the Donetsk region were shelled.
In the Marinka direction, 3 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, 5 localities in the Donetsk region came under shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 36 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army.

As of the morning of June 23, Ukrainian soldiers stopped the Russian offensive in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, and continued to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors, with partial success.
