Russian forces complicate civilian movement in Luhansk region – General Staff
Invading Russian forces are restricting the local residents' movement in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, and the AFU have repelled over 38 enemy attacks during the day
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this.
The Ukrainian military notes that on the territory of the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, invading Russian forces continue to exert pressure on local residents, so it is increasingly difficult to move around towns and villages. In particular, the village of Pluhatar can be accessed only with special passes.
The Russian army launched 40 air and 5 missile strikes, and over 20 MLRS attacks
“Over the last day, the enemy launched 40 airstrikes, 5 missile strikes, over 20 attacks from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure of the settlements. Civilians were killed.
The likelihood of further missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high, as the Russian troops continue to use terror tactics,” the General Staff emphasized.
AFU repelled over 38 Russian attacks and shot down Shahed-136 and Lancet UAVs
The military informed that the enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensives in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariinka and Shakhtarsk directions. Our defenders repelled over 38 enemy attacks in these areas.
Ukrainian aviation launched 16 strikes on the areas where Russian military's personnel and military equipment were concentrated over the past day. Ukraine’s defenders shot down Russian Shahed-136 and Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles.
At the same time, the rocket and artillery crews hit 2 control points, 4 military positions, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, a munitions depot, an artillery unit at a firing position, and 2 electronic warfare stations.
Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected.
And in Belarus, combat training activities of the Russian Armed Forces continue. Russian forces also continue to maintain a military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions.
At the same time, the Russian Federation did not stop shelling the entire border line: one settlement in the Chernihiv region, 6 more in the Sumy region, as well as 8 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked.
The situation in other Ukrainian regions subjected to Russian attacks
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, invading Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of 3 settlements. 12 localities came under artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian enemy continues to assault the city of Bakhmut, which is held by Ukrainian defenders, as well as in the areas of 3 settlements. 12 more localities in the Donetsk region were attacked.
In the Avdiivka, Mariinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russian army conducted offensive actions in the direction of 6 settlements. 11 towns and villages were subjected to enemy attacks.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is defending itself. At the same time, 13 towns and villages were subjected to enemy attacks.
