Russian army drops high-explosive bomb on Zmiinyi Island at dawn

On the morning of July 13, the Russian army has dropped a high-explosive bomb on Zmiinyi Island, Odesa region. During nighttime, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed 1 missile and 10 Shahed drones over southern Ukraine

The press center of the South Operational Command reported the information.

At dawn, Russian troops dropped a high-explosive bomb on Zmiinyi Island from tactical aircraft.

They also use tactical aviation in the Beryslav district of the Kherson region. Yesterday, Russian forces dropped aerial bombs at the village of Kozatske, destroying private houses. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Air defense operating against Russian air targets in southern Ukraine

The South Operational Command reports that within their area of responsibility, Russian forces are actively using Lancet attack drones and reconnaissance drones.

On Wednesday, July 12, 4 reconnaissance drones were destroyed over the Mykolaiv region and another over the Kherson region.

"At night, the enemy launched a missile and drone attack with Shahed-136 attack drones and Kalibr sea-launched missiles. In our area of responsibility, we destroyed 1 missile and 5 “kamikaze” drones over the Mykolaiv region, and 6 more similar drones over the Kirovohrad region. None reached their targets," the South Command noted.

  • On the night of July 13, Russia launched an air attack on Ukraine. In Kyiv, about 10 Shahed drones were shot down, with debris falling on high-rise buildings, killing one person and injuring others. A school building and houses were damaged in the Mykolaiv region.

  • The Ukrainian Air Force reported that during a night attack, the Russian army launched 20 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones and 2 Kalibr missiles at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense destroyed all Russian air targets.

  • The Russian occupying army has increased the number of missile launchers in the Black Sea, so Ukrainians are warned of an extremely high level of missile threat. Presently, there are 3 missile launchers in the Black Sea, including 2 surface launchers and 1 submarine launcher. The total volley of Kalibr missiles has increased to 20.
