Russia will never capture entire Donetsk region - military expert Svitan
Military expert Roman Svitan believes the Russian army will not be able to capture the Donetsk region within its administrative borders
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Russia will definitely not be able to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region in this millennium. They lost this opportunity last year. If they hadn't launched a full-scale invasion, they might have been able to capture the entire territory of the Donetsk region with the forces they had. However, this opportunity has been lost forever," Svitan explained.
The expert believes that the Russian army lacks the forces and means for a major offensive.
"The forces that Russia has, it can use to push our units from the first lines of defense. But there is more to it than that. The lack of forces and resources makes it impossible to organize a large-scale offensive by the Russian army," he emphasized.
