Zelenskyy arrives in Singapore for Asia-Pacific security conference
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Singapore to take part in the Shangri-La Dialogue conference, a key platform for security topics in the Asia-Pacific region
He wrote about this on Telegram.
According to Zelenskyy, global security is impossible when the world's largest country ignores recognised borders, international law and the UN Charter, blackmails with hunger, darkness and nuclear weapons.
The president emphasised that restoring a just peace in Ukraine, ensuring global food and nuclear security were the tasks of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, so it would be important to hear the voice of the Asia-Pacific region there.
"In Singapore, I will speak at a conference and hold a number of meetings, including with President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, President Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin, and Singaporean investors," he added.
Zelenskyy later informed that he had met with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue to discuss the implementation of the Peace Formula and areas of bilateral cooperation.
The main topics of the talks were progress in the implementation of the Peace Formula and areas of bilateral cooperation.
"We look forward to Indonesia's participation in the first Global Peace Summit at the highest level and to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," the president said.
