NATO Parliamentary Assembly supports allowing Ukraine to attack Russia with Western weapons

The Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, MP Yehor Chierniev, said that the NATO Parliamentary Assembly called on NATO governments to allow Ukraine to use Western weapons on Russian territory.

He explained that it is a matter of lifting restrictions on the use of Western weapons to hit targets in Russia.

"We managed to push through this decision at the last minute, as the original version of the declaration did not contain this paragraph. The support of the American delegation led by my friends Mike Turner and Gerald Connolly was one of the key factors," Chierniev wrote.

The head of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the NATO PA added that parliamentarians will now have legal grounds to "put even more pressure on their governments to ensure that the decisions of the NATO PA are implemented."

Spain announces record military aid to Ukraine

On May 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Spain, where he signed a bilateral security agreement with Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. Madrid also announced a record €6 billion in military aid to Kyiv.

"We have just signed a political agreement that is very important. It is a treaty for the future, and it is an example of our determination to provide Ukraine with all the tools to ensure Ukraine's stability," Sanchez said, adding that Spain is the tenth country to sign a security agreement with Kyiv.

For this year, we have recorded €1 billion in military aid, and for the period up to 2027, €5 billion for Ukraine from Spain through the European Peace Fund.

Russian diplomats to be restricted from travelling in Poland

The Polish authorities have decided to restrict the movement of Russian diplomats across the country in connection with Russia's participation in a hybrid war against the European Union and Poland. This was announced by Radoslaw Sikorski at a press conference after a meeting of EU foreign ministers, the Polish media outlet Onet reports.

According to the minister, the Russian embassy will receive a note in this regard in the near future. The restrictions will apply to all diplomats except the ambassador. In particular, diplomats of the embassy in Warsaw will be able to move only within Mazovia (Mazovian Voivodeship), while consuls will be restricted to the voivodeships to which they belong.
