This was announced by MP and Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Yehor Chierniev.
He explained that it is a matter of lifting restrictions on the use of Western weapons to hit targets in Russia.
"We managed to push through this decision at the last minute, as the original version of the declaration did not contain this paragraph. The support of the American delegation led by my friends Mike Turner and Gerald Connolly was one of the key factors," Chierniev wrote.
The head of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the NATO PA added that parliamentarians will now have legal grounds to "put even more pressure on their governments to ensure that the decisions of the NATO PA are implemented."
- On May 26, Chierniev said that in unofficial conversations, the Americans claimed that the White House was discussing allowing Kyiv to use US weapons against Russia.
