“If, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, we want to help Ukraine against aggression, and if we help Ukraine with material supplies and not directly by participating in the fighting, then it is up to Ukraine to decide how to use these arms supplies," Petr Pavel said.
According to him, it is quite legitimate for Ukraine to attack targets in Russia.
"If it weren't for the fact that Russia has launched aggression and that it has been hitting targets on Ukrainian territory for a long time, Ukraine would not need to hit any targets in Russia," he noted.
Pavel emphasized that “President Putin holds the main card”. According to the Czech president, the Russian leader can end the war overnight.
