Situation in Kharkiv region is close to stabilization - Achilles Battalion commander
Yuriy Fedorenko, commander with 92nd Brigade's Achilles Battalion, says the Ukrainian army is seizing the tactical initiative in the Kharkiv sector step by step
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the Kharkiv sector is extremely tense. The fighting is very intense. Russia has no tactical success. The Ukrainian Defense Forces hold all the positions. The Russian army is very active. One way or another, the invaders conduct attack and assault operations throughout the day and use all available types of weapons. It is also worth emphasizing that the enemy is massively using aviation. However, despite the fact that the Russian army. can sustain intense hostilities, the Defense Forces have positive achievements. In particular, there are positions from which the enemy has been driven out. Active work is also underway to destroy military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. That is why we can already say that the situation in the Kharkiv region is very close to stabilization. The Defense Forces are taking over the tactical initiative step by step," said Fedorenko.
The military emphasized that the units operating in the Kharkiv region need the support of citizens.
"However, everyone should understand that when we talk about stabilizing the situation or seizing the tactical initiative, this is the titanic work of our military. This work requires significant resources. In particular, UAVs. As soon as it was said that the situation was close to stabilization, the support for the units performing tasks in the Kharkiv region dropped sharply. We must realize that war requires significant resources. That is why, in order to keep the positive dynamics of the fighting, do not forget to help our units," he added.
