The Polish minister shared a post referring to an interview with Duda, in which he mentioned possible concessions by Ukraine for the sake of peace with Russia.
"I advise President Duda not to act like Chamberlain in this war," Sikorski wrote.
Neville Chamberlain was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1937 to 1940. He pursued a policy of appeasement towards Adolf Hitler. In particular, in 1938, he signed the Munich Agreement, which allowed Nazi Germany to annex the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia.
- Earlier, Duda stated that he believes a compromise will be needed for a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, and Kyiv will have to make concessions.
