Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, says Russian artillery shell consumption has dropped by half due to Ukrainian strikes on Russian industry

He shared this in an interview on national television.
“For several months now, Russian artillery ammunition consumption has basically halved. Previously, it reached 40,000 shells per day, but now it’s significantly less,” Syrskyi noted.
According to him, Ukraine’s strikes on Russian industry have successfully achieved their objectives.
“We’ve accomplished everything we planned. Our primary targets are usually military facilities that impact enemy operations. Additionally, we target factories and plants producing ammunition, missile components, or dual-use goods. The enemy’s oil refining facilities are also within our scope,” he added.
- On the night of January 18, Ukrainian drones struck an oil depot in Russia’s Tula region, with at least ten hits reported. Ukrainian forces also hit Russian air defense systems in the Kherson and Donetsk regions.
