Russian army attempts to storm Ukrainian positions 49 times in 6 directions

Russian attacks across Ukraine

During the day, Russia launched 5 missile strikes, 44 airstrikes, and 68 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks resulted in civilian casualties. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline situation 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 30 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia attacked the Ukrainian troops’ positions 6 times near the town of Synkivka, Kharkiv region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack near Terny, Donetsk region, where the Russian army, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense. About 20 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three attacks near Andriivka, Donetsk region, where the Russian army was trying to improve its tactical position. More than 10 localities were under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 21 enemy attacks in the areas of Novoselivka, Berdychi, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops in the areas of Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Prechystivka, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia did not conduct any assault operations. However, about 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson sector, Russia does not abandon its intention to drive our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River, despite significant losses. More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions 

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 8 manpower concentration areas and 1 ground control station of the enemy's UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces also destroyed one Kh-59 guided missile.

Missile troops destroyed 1 manpower concentration area, 1 air defense system, and 6 enemy artillery pieces.

• Over the past day, March 3, 78 combat engagements took place at the front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled most of the attacks in the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors and killed another 1,150 soldiers.
