Russia loses 1,150 soldiers, almost 100 pieces of equipment in one day in Ukraine — General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to March 4, 2024, amounted to:

Frontline update: Russian troops attempt to breach Ukrainian troops' defenses 30 times in the Novopavlivka direction, activate near Kupyansk

According to the General Staff, near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks near Synkivka and Tabaivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukraine's soldiers repulsed 5 attacks near the settlements of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, Terny and Verkhnokamianske, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed 5 attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Andriivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine's defenders repelled 20 enemy near 5 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defense forces are holding back Russian troops near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where they tried to break through the Ukrainian over 30 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops launched 3 unsuccessful attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold their positions. Russian troops did not conduct offensive operations.

Russian troops shell 80 settlements of Ukraine with artillery, Ukrainian Armed Forces strike 7 concentrations of Russian personnel

In total, Russia launched 7 missile strikes, 50 air strikes, and 112 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Over the past day, 31 Ukrainian settlements were hit by Russian air strikes.

Over 80 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under Russian artillery fire.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, depleting Russian troops along the entire front line. Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 7 concentrations of Russian personnel.
