Russia sends battalion for assaults every day - Ukrainian military on fighting in Kreminna sector

He shared the statement on the Espreso TV channel.

"We are standing in the direction of Terny, where the enemy is attacking with the forces of the 20th Army. For the last two weeks, the enemy has been trying to break through to the settlement. Our task is to stabilize the frontline in this area. The enemy is attacking in large numbers, almost without regard for losses. Every day, Russia throws at least a battalion into assault operations, sometimes up to two companies. In our direction, we can see whole cemeteries of equipment. Over 50 units of enemy heavy armored vehicles were destroyed and damaged," said Yuriy Chekh.

According to Chekh, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are trying to stabilize the front in this area.

"The enemy is not counting losses at all. They continue their assault operations. The situation for us is complicated by the fact that the Russians have an advantage in artillery. Stationary defense is no longer appropriate in our area. That is why, in order to stabilize the front, we are trying to move to assault operations on the enemy's flanks," he added.

• Over the last day, 82 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Ukrainian defenders repelled a number of Russian attacks, most of them in the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors, and neutralized 960 Russian soldiers.
