This information was provided by Russian governors and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Air Defense Forces intercepted or shot down 58 drones across six regions during the night and early morning hours.

The largest number of drones, totaling 29, were destroyed over the Voronezh region. Additionally, 11 drones were reportedly downed over the Belgorod region, 8 each over Bryansk and Kursk, and one each over the Leningrad and Ryazan regions of the Russian Federation.

Kursk region

In the morning, Kursk region governor Roman Starovoit reported shelling in the village of Tyotkino, Glushkovsky district.

One local resident was allegedly injured and received a concussion. Details on property damage are still being determined.

Bryansk region

According to Bryansk region governor Aleksandr Bogomaz, the Russian anti-aircraft missile defense system destroyed 8 drones over the Klintsovsky, Unechsky districts, and the Starodubsky municipal district.

No injuries were reported.

Belgorod region

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on the shelling in the Belgorod region, with some drones hitting the industrial zone.

He mentioned one reported victim, an employee of an industrial facility, who sustained a contusion and a wound. The wounded man was transported to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod for necessary medical attention, as per Gladkov.

Additionally, Gladkov noted a subsequent shelling with no reported casualties.

Several apartments in a residential building suffered broken windows, and smoke was observed emanating from a box within an industrial facility. Damage to the power line left subscribers in the city of Shebekino, the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, and the village of Maslova Pristan without electricity, according to him.

Gladkov also mentioned a new drone attack on the region on the morning of March 13. One UAV allegedly crashed into an apartment building causing damage, while the second UAV fell into a river without any consequences.

Contrarily, the Russian propaganda outlet TASS reported that the drone struck the FSB building, resulting in damage but no injuries.

Leningrad region

Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko stated that the Russian air defense system intercepted a drone in the Kirishsky district, preventing it from reaching the Kirishi Petroleum Organic Synthesis oil refinery.

No injuries or damages were reported.

Voronezh region

Governor Aleksandr Gusev reported over 30 drones destroyed by Russian air defense forces overnight, resulting in minor damage. Incidents included damage to a private house, a transformer substation in the Buturlinovsky district, and a partially destroyed shop roof in the Sovietsky district of Voronezh.

  • On Thursday morning, March 7, a "technological incident" was reported at Russia's largest metallurgical plant, Severstal, with local authorities attributing it to a drone strike.
