This was reported by the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (CNR).
Russian forces are requiring schools and kindergartens to submit their New Year programs for approval. They can make changes or request adjustments.
“An interesting point is the de facto ban on mentioning St. Nicholas, a tradition for Ukrainian children, and the "Western" Santa Claus. Instead, the holiday performances must focus on Russian culture, mythology, and fairy tales,” National Resistance Center says.
The CNR emphasizes that this is part of the Kremlin's broader effort to erase Ukrainian culture and identity.
- Russia-installed authorities in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region plan to fine residents for using Ukrainian-language street signs.
