According to Reuters, Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated on Friday that Russia is still not interested in peace, adding that Russia needs to recognize Ukraine's ability to continue fighting.

"Given Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine, we must admit that peace in Ukraine seems out of reach in the immediate future. We will continue to ensure that Ukraine benefits from our joint military support," he said following a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Brussels.

  • On Friday, April 11, the 27th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format takes place in Brussels. Air defense is a priority for Ukraine at the meeting.
  • On March 11 in Jeddah, Ukraine agreed to the United States' proposal for a complete temporary ceasefire. Since then, Russia has launched nearly 70 missiles of various types, over 2,200 Shahed drones, and more than 6,000 guided bombs at Ukraine.
