He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Over the past two and a half weeks, the Russian army has made significant progress in the Pokrovsk direction. This is due to the fact that the Russians have deployed significant forces that were in operational reserve. They are now being used for assault operations in the area of Selydove and Novohrodivka," noted Mykula.
According to the co-founder and analyst at the DeepState project, it is also important to note that Ukrainian troops were not fully prepared for the intense pressure exerted by Russian forces.
"At the moment, control over Novohrodivka has been virtually lost. The enemy is already entering Selydove and is trying to advance to Ukrainsk, another key town in this area," emphasized Mykula.
- Since the beginning of the day on August 29, 215 combat clashes have taken place at the front, with the most active Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk sector.
- Following several days of work in the brigades defending the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the situation there is currently the most difficult.
- Military expert Serhiy Zgurets noted that in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops are trying to use their superiority in manpower and equipment.
