He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"It is hot at the front not only because of the weather conditions, but also because the enemy is actively attacking. The enemy is attacking on the eastern flank of the Russian-Ukrainian front on a larger scale and with more persistence. Fighting continues in the northern part of Kharkiv region. By the way, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are having success there and are able to slowly but steadily push the enemy forces closer to the border," noted Selezniov.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces colonel, in eastern Ukraine, the Russian army has a total advantage on the battlefield, enjoying a substantial edge in the aviation component, powerful artillery support and virtually unlimited human resources.

"Although this advantage on the battlefield is determined by the tactical success of enemy forces and means, the trend is quite threatening. If two weeks ago we talked about four main threatening directions in the east of our country, now there are actually six of them. In addition to the well-known directions, such as Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar and Siversk, the Toretsk and Kupyansk directions have been added. In these areas, the enemy has significantly intensified its actions in order to get close to the Oskil River, posing a threat in the Kharkiv region," emphasized Colonel Selezniov.

  • Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman and political analyst Kyrylo Sazonov noted that Russian troops are trying to reach Kostiantynivka from three sides at any cost.
  • Roman Vlasenko, head of the Sieverodonetsk district military administration, said that active hostilities are taking place in the Luhansk region around Kreminna.
  • Military expert Serhiy Zgurets believes that ukraine should prepare for a long-term war of attrition.
