He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"Right now, there are clashes in two areas near Chasiv Yar, and there is also a battle near Toretsk. The fighting is almost constant. The enemy is trying to advance at least in Chasiv Yar, and in some places in the Siverskyi Donets Canal, trying to advance further in the south. Russia's aircraft, unguided missiles, anti-aircraft guns, artillery, mortars, and drones are operating. The fact is that in some places, the Russians were unable to reach the canal, to the borders they had planned. Our positions are still there, and the guys are holding on. Near Kalynove, Ivanivske, near Toretsk, fighting is almost constant," noted Sazonov.

According to the serviceman, Russian troops are trying to reach Kostiantynivka from almost three sides at any cost.

"The enemy troops are trying to advance constantly. It seems that they have some kind of deadline, something has pushed them. Because the Russians have been sending elite units into the first wave of the offensive for 2-4 weeks. Enemy airborne troops are working near Chasiv Yar. Now the enemy has withdrawn the 98th Division and sent another landing force, but this information has not yet been confirmed," Sazonov emphasized.

The fighter also added that Russian marines, special forces of the first corps are working in Toretsk, they are supported by motorized riflemen.

"That is, they are trying to reach Kostiantynivka from almost three sides at any cost. Because from Chasiv Yar to Kostiantynivka there is about 10 km to the east, Toretsk is 20 km to the south, and to the west there is the Kostiantynivka - Pokrovsk road, where the enemy is breaking through from Ocheretyne," explained Sazonov.

  • Since the beginning of the day on July 9, 128 combat clashes have taken place at the front. Russian troops are attacking the Pokrovsk direction the most, where they are losing a lot of troops and equipment.
  • Roman Vlasenko, head of the Sieverodonetsk district military administration, said that active hostilities continue in the Luhansk region around Kreminna.
