Russian aerial bombing claims woman's life in Kupyansk

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, confirmed the incident.

Russian forces targeted the city around 10:40 p.m., hitting a 4-story residential building.

According to the State Emergency Service, Russian aircraft dropped a guided aerial bomb on a residential area in Kupyansk, resulting in the destruction of two floors of the building.

An 85-year-old woman lost her life in the rubble of an apartment on the fourth floor.

"The State Emergency Service, along with the local utility company's crane, conducted the operation to recover the deceased's body. Emergency and rescue operations concluded at 03:30 a.m.," the statement added.

• On the same night, April 7, Kharkiv was attacked by Russian drones, injuring three people when one of the Shahed drones struck a private house. In Odesa, a woman was injured by ballistic targeting of the port infrastructure. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, damage occurred due to falling fragments of downed UAVs.
