76 clashes occur at front, Russian army most active in Pokrovsk, Lyman sectors - Ukraine's General Staff

Since the beginning of July 19, 76 combat engagements have been reported along the frontline. Russian forces are most active in the Pokrovsk and Lyman sectors, and Russia has dropped 26 guided aerial bombs in the Kharkiv region

Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information as of 16:00.

The report notes that Russian forces continue to assault Ukrainian defensive positions. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are disrupting Russia's plans, inflicting significant losses in both manpower and equipment.

Today, on July 19, Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners of the separate mechanized brigade named after General Lieutenant Mark Bezruchko shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft.

Frontline update 

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces conducted four assault operations near Hlyboke and Vovchansk. They failed in three of these engagements, with another battle still ongoing.

Today, Russia dropped 26 guided aerial bombs targeting the areas of Lyptsi, Hlyboke, and Mali Prokhody. Additionally, they attacked the city of Chuhuiv with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Novoosynove, Petropavlivka, Synkivka, and Stelmakhivka. Four attacks were repelled, and another is still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the occupying Russian army launched 11 attacks during the day near Serebryansky forest, Nevske, Hrekivka, and Novosadove. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled nine of these attacks, with two more battles continuing near Nevske.

In the Siversk sector, Russian forces attempted six attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, and Pereyizne, all of which were unsuccessful.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia launched three assaults on Ukrainian forces near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora. One of these battles is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, there were nine attacks on Ukrainian positions near Pivnichne, Toretsk, Zalizne, and New York. Ukrainian forces repelled seven of these attacks, with two battles still ongoing at different locations.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia has carried out assault operations in Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka, Yevhenivka, and Kalynove since the start of the day. Ukrainian forces have repelled 18 attacks and are currently engaged in three ongoing battles near Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. Russia's losses are still being determined.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russia launched six attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Karlivka, and Paraskoviivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four of these attacks, with two still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses near Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, and Novoandriivka. Russian troops were defeated in six engagements.

In the Prydniprovsky sector, the Russian army continues their efforts to dislodge Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River. As a result, two Russian attacks were unsuccessful.

In other areas of the front, the situation remains largely unchanged.

  • On July 18, 130 combat clashes were recorded at the frontline. Most attacks were repelled in the Pokrovsk direction.
