119 combat clashes occur at frontline over past day, Ukraine repels 31 attacks in Pokrovsk direction

This is stated in Ukraine's General Staff's report as of 8:00 am. 

Over the past day, Russian troops launched one missile attack on the Ukrainian positions and populated areas, 131 air strikes, dropping 135 guided aerial bombs, used 909 kamikaze drones, and fired 4,323 times, 139 of which were from MLRS.

In addition, Russia's vicarious attacks, in particular, affected 7 settlements in Kharkiv region; 12 in Donetsk region; 3 in Kherson region and Serebryanka forestry.

A total of 18 combat clashes took place in the Kharkiv direction. Fighting took place near Vovchansk and Hlyboke. The Russian army was actively using aviation to support the assault. 

The number of attacks in the Kupyansk direction amounted to five yesterday. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russia's assault near Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops rebuffed 8' attacks near Nevske, Luhansk region, and Terny, Donetsk region.

In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 assault attacks near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and near 3 more settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped six attempts to break through the defense near Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army launched 14 attacks. They concentrated their efforts towards New York and Pivnichne. These actions were supported by strikes from bombers and attack aircraft.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 31 assault attacks near 4 settlements in the Donetsk region, where Russian troops, with the support of aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukraine's defense forces are holding back Russian troops Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Karlivka, where Russian forces tried to seize Ukraine's fortifications 17 times.

In the Vremivka direction, Russia's troops launched 7 unsuccessful assaults near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Makarivka in the Donetsk region.

Russian forces unsuccessfully stormed Ukrainian positions 3 times in the Orikhiv direction, near Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.

In the Kherson direction, Russia keeps trying to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. The Ukrainian troops repelled three unsuccessful attacks by Russian infantry.

The operational situation in the northeastern border areas remains unchanged. No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the state border with Russia and Belarus, Russian units continue to conduct sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling settlements from the territory of Russia, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.

The General Staff adds that Ukrainian soldiers are depleting the Russian army along the entire front line and in the rear.

• Over the course of July 14, 114 combat clashes took place at the front. Russian troops attacked most of all in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions.
• Over the past day, the Russian army lost at least 1,110 troops. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 13 tanks and 44 artillery systems.
