Russia continues 'meat grinder' assaults near Bakhmut
Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman with the 26th Artillery Brigade, says that Russian troops continue to conduct brutal 'cannon fodder' assaults on Ukrainian positions and spare no personnel
He said this on Espreso TV.
"Today, Russians are trying to protect their equipment. They often dig in their equipment. However, there are cases when the invaders use heavy armored vehicles for attacks. Also, in the Bakhmut sector, the Russian troops are replenishing their units with freshly mobilized soldiers," said Kalashnikov.
The spokesperson said that the Russian enemy continues to use the tactics of meat assaults near Bakhmut.
"The invading forces are redeploying Storm Z units to the Bakhmut sector and replenishing their ranks with freshly mobilized soldiers. They are using the human factor for assaults. That is, we are now witnessing a repeat of the meaty assaults we have seen before. Last week, in the direction of Klishchiivka, the occupiers tried to attack our positions with one company. They simply do not spare personnel," he added.
- On Sunday, November 12, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces, announced that the Russian army had intensified its activities in the Bakhmut sector. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are repelling enemy attacks.
- On November 12, the deputy commander with the 3rd Assault Brigade, former commander of the Azov regiment, Major Maksym Zhorin, reported that the Russian troops were trying to advance in the Bakhmut direction. The situation is difficult but under control.
