Romanian Defense Minister confirms wreckage of Russian drone on NATO member state’s territory
On Wednesday, September 6, Minister Angel Tilvar confirmed that a team from the Ministry of National Defense had found suspected pieces of a Russian drone in Romania
This was reported by CNN Antena 3.
"I confirm that debris was found in this area that could be drones. There was no doubt because there are no elements that pose a danger that such parts pose a threat," the Romanian defense minister said.
Possible remains of a Russian army drone near the village of Plauru in Tulcea County, opposite Ukraine's Izmail. The settlements are separated only by the Danube riverbed.
"It was clear that in a fairly short period of time there were a number of attacks by Russia on Ukrainian port facilities and warehouses, so I think it is important to increase vigilance measures. We will have more observation posts, more patrols. At the same time, the equipment we use, which is technically capable of covering the territory, remains functional and is in a phase of increased attention," Tilvar added.
