Reznikov and Morawiecki meet first Leopard 2 tanks provided to Ukraine
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, along with his Polish counterpart Mateusz Morawiecki, have met the first four Leopard 2 tanks delivered to Ukraine
Shmyhal reported this on Telegram on February 24.
“A year ago, tanks entered Ukraine to deprive Ukrainians of their freedom. Today, tanks have also entered Ukraine, but to protect freedom. The first four Leopard 2 tanks provided by our partners were welcomed together with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki,” Shmyhal noted.
The prime ministers also congratulated the crews of Ukrainian tankers who already have successful combat experience.
“We thank our military for their reliable defense. We are grateful to Poland and all our partners for the decisive steps that bring Ukraine's victory closer. Under the leadership of the president of Ukraine, we continue to expand the tank coalition to bring freedom back to all Ukrainian territories,” Shmyhal emphasized.

Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that Ukraine would receive at least two battalions of Leopard 2 tanks and 6-7 battalions of Leopard 1 tanks from its partners.
