Putin stated this at a press conference on the evening of Saturday, July 29.
"I don't think it's my responsibility to control the troops; it's not right and can even be harmful. Getting updates from the front line every hour is impossible because special communication methods are needed,” Putin stated.

In the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost 245,220 soldiers. On July 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 6 armored fighting vehicles and 11 artillery systems.

On Saturday, July 29, the Russian army continued its offensive attempts on crucial areas of the front, resulting in 24 combat clashes.
