Putin may announce end of so-called special operation on May 9 – military expert Svitan
Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Roman Svitan believes that the Russian military and political leadership will try to be in a defensive crouch
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Putin will try to declare his victory on May 9. He will talk about the seizure of Ukrainian territories and the land corridor. Putin will try to switch the so-called special operation, which has fulfilled its tasks, to another regime," Svitan emphasised.
According to the military expert, the Russian military and political leadership will try to be in the defensive crouch.
"Prigozhin used to throw such topics into the information space. Such narratives were processed in the Russian information space and received a neutral response. Therefore, the Russian military and political leadership can make a decision of this kind. Putin may declare the end of the special operation and try to be in the defensive crouch they are currently in," Svitan added.
