The information was reported by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
According to the outlet, US President Joe Biden, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy consider holding a meeting where the latter may present his 10-point peace plan.
The meeting between Zelenskyy and Biden may take place in Rzeszów or Warsaw. The Ukrainian president's presence is expected to be part of a broader diplomatic plan that Kyiv intends to implement a year after Russia's invasion began.
A diplomatic source in Kyiv told the Polish outlet that the Ukrainian president will present a peace plan and convene an international conference on Ukraine. He will also return to the topic of security guarantees for Ukraine. In addition to the United States, Canada, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Israel, Germany, and Poland may become guarantors.
According to the DGP, the document will contain 10 points. It will include the recognition of Ukraine's territorial integrity within the borders before the illegal annexation of Crimea in March 2014. A new element is the rejection of the so-called demarcation line of before February 24. In addition, the plan will include provisions on nuclear safety regarding Zaporizhzhia NPP and food security. It will also address the exchange of prisoners and the return of deported Ukrainian children from Russia.
Zelenskyy's plan also includes the creation of an international tribunal to address war crimes committed by Russians in Ukraine. At the UN, the Ukrainian president will also demand new security guarantees for Ukraine in Euro-Atlantic institutions. As the DGP source emphasized, the issue of territorial concessions will not be a subject of discussion for Zelenskyy.
Joe Biden will visit Poland in late February. It is possible that the visit will happen on February 24, the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the possibility of the US president visiting Ukraine has been ruled out.
- On December 21, 2022, Zelenskyy and Biden met in Washington. It was the first foreign visit of the Ukrainian president since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
