Portugal is preparing to send four Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine. Country has 37 units of such armoured vehicles, 12 of which are fully operational.
Publication notes that the relevant decision was made in the country's government only after approval of Germany, which succumbed to pressure from the allies.
Before that, Portugal announced delivery to our country of only 14 more M113 armoured personnel carriers and eight large power generators. At that time, the Ministry of Defense said that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 532 tons of military equipment, both lethal and non-lethal, had been sent to Ukraine.
