Russia moves all ground troops into Ukraine. Defense Express unveils numbers
Defense Express development director Valerii Riabykh says that Russia has brought almost all of its ground forces into Ukraine
He shared this information on Espreso TV.
"According to the Defense Intelligence, 462,000 Russian troops have been deployed to Ukraine. And this is only the ground component, not including the Russian Guard, which supports the occupation regime. It should be noted that the authorized strength of the Russian army is 550,000, which means that almost all the enemy's ground forces have been deployed to Ukraine. Moreover, 550,000 is in addition to the mobilized and conscripts. The invading Russian forces have brought all the ground forces to Ukraine to hold what they captured at the beginning of the large-scale invasion," noted Riabykh.
According to the military expert, the Defense Intelligence does not believe that at this stage of the war the enemy may be able to form more groups to threaten anyone else besides Ukraine.
"So Ukraine has taken on this burden - to pull back all the Russian ground forces, gradually destroying them," Riabykh emphasized.
The development director of the Defense Express information and consulting company added that Russia is currently only able to maintain the size of the groups.
"And this amounts to about 50 mechanized divisions. In general, a typical Russian motorized infantry division consists of 12,500 people and is formed of one tank, two motorized infantry, one artillery and one anti-aircraft missile regiment, as well as seven battalions: anti-tank, intelligence, engineer, communications, electronic warfare, logistics and medical. It's a huge bunch of occupiers trying to solve the tasks set by the madmen in the Kremlin," Riabykh explained.
