Everything will depend on supply of Ukrainian troops: military expert Zgurets on defense of Avdiivka
Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets said that the Ukrainian army will be able to hold Avdiivka as long as the supply lines operate properly
He told this on Espreso TV channel
"Avdiivka can be held. Today, the coke plant is holding the line and other areas around the city are also being held. The main issue today is to secure the transport corridor through Lastochkyne to Avdiivka. Our ability to hold the city will depend on logistics. Currently, the distance from the combat zone to this road is more than 1.5 kilometers. The enemy is trying to throw all its forces at this particular section of the frontline," said Zgurets.
The analyst noted that the situation for Ukraine's defense forces in Avdiivka will become much more complicated if Russia takes fire control of the supply lines of Ukrainian troops.
"If this supply line is cut and the enemy takes close fire control, the logistics for our troops in Avdiivka will become much more complicated. Then there may be problems for our troops south of this line. That is why everything will depend on the forces and means that will be added to drive the enemy out of the positions where they have been advancing recently," he added.
